ROAD RAGE: Truck Driver Gunned Down By Motorist In South Carolina

Berkeley County, South Carolina – Authorities say a truck driver was shot and killed by a motorist during a road rage confrontation along Highway 52 on Wednesday.

According to a release from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly incident began at approximately 1 p.m.

Investigators said “aggressive driving” between the driver of a red semi-tractor and a silver or gray sedan near the intersection of Central Avenue in Goose Creek led to escalating tension.

Officials said the sedan continued following the semi to an area on Highway 52 near the Strawberry railroad crossing, just north of Goose Creek.

That’s when authorities say the truck driver was shot and killed by the motorist who then fled the scene.
