Paccar Recalling 2020 Peterbilt And Kenworth Trucks Due To Mirror Glass Problem
Bellevue, Washington – A problem with mirror glass has prompted Paccar Inc. to recall 2020 Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks.
The truck maker says mirror glass may not stick to the holder.
It may hang or detach from the mirror heat wiring harness, company officials say.
The recall affects about 4% of the 3,907 recalled trucks built from February 14 to March 6, Paccar told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The involved models are the Peterbilt 520 and 579 and the Kenworth T680, T880 and W990.
No crashes or injuries related to the conditions are known at this time.
The company says Peterbilt and Kenworth dealers will inspect the mirror holder and replace it for free if your truck is impacted.
Dealers were told about the recall May 31.
Customer notices will go out June 20-21, Paccar confirmed.
The recall is NHTSA number 19V-340.
