Love’s Opens New Locations With 159 Truck Parking Spaces, Closes Another For Renovations

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – Love’s Travel Stops (Love’s) announced this week that it is now serving customers in Oakwood, Illinois, thanks to the anticipated opening of a new travel stop. The new location at 17919 Newtown Road (off I-74, Exit 206) adds 70 new jobs to Vermilion County and 67 truck parking spaces.

“Oakwood is a popular stop for professional drivers and motorists along I-74 in eastern Illinois,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s. “Our Customers have been asking for more locations in the Prairie State, and we’re happy to provide them with another clean and friendly travel stop.”

The more than 15,000-square-foot facility is open 24/7 and offers many amenities, including:

  • Speedco location on-site.
  • Hardee’s restaurant.
  • 67 truck parking spaces.
  • Seven diesel bays.
  • Seven showers.
  • Laundry facilities.
  • Fresh to Go options.
  • Gourmet coffee.
  • Brand-name snacks.
  • Mobile to Go Zone.
  • CAT scale.

Woodard, Oakwood Village president. “Love’s is a reputable corporation in whom we are pleased to partner with. They have invested greatly in our community and have provided multiple jobs to those in Oakwood and the Vermilion County area. We look forward to a longstanding relationship with Love’s for many years to come.”

In honor of the grand opening, Love’s will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 18. During the ceremony, Love’s will make a $2,000 donation to the Village of Oakwood.

 

Also Recently Opened Texas Location With 92 Truck Parking Spaces

Earlier in November Loves announced the opening of a new location in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The store, located at 1201 S. Hillcrest off I-30 and Texas Highway 19 on Exit 122, adds 75 new jobs to Hopkins County and 92 truck parking spaces.

Sulphur Springs is a great location to serve Customers traveling through northeastern Texas along Interstate 30. “The City of Sulphur Springs is excited to welcome Love’s Travel Stops to our community,” said John A. Sellers, mayor of Sulphur Springs. “We understand the importance of the transportation industry and we welcome Love’s as an outstanding organization which will be a wonderful addition to our community.”

The grand opening was on Nov. 27. During the ceremony Love’s presented a $2,000 donation to Barbara Bush Primary School.

 

Closed For Renovations

The Love’s location in Toomsuba, Mississippi, will close for major renovations beginning Monday, Dec. 3.  In a statement, the company says, “We look forward to refreshing the Toomsuba location to better serve our Customers. The on-site Love’s Truck Tire Care Center will remain open for Customers through the winter months, and the newly remodeled location is scheduled to reopen in early spring 2019.”

The company says the nearest Love’s locations in Lake, Mississippi, and McCalla, Alabama, “will provide Clean Places, Friendly Faces to drivers affected by this closure.”
