    Hello everyone,

So I come in this morning, grab my paperwork, and after inspecting my load and doing my walk around/fluid check, I climb in the cab to do my air brakes test. When I release the brakes, I notice that the audible rush of air isn’t subsiding and my air gaues are showing a continuous loss of pressure. I immediately take it over to the shop. I drive a side loader so some components aren’t easily visible like on most other trucks. Mechanic comes out and after checking underneath tells me one of the chambers is bad. Cost me a bit of time to transfer my stops over to another truck, but if I had just jumped in and left, it could have resulted in a potentially dangerous situation.

Moral of the story: Don’t just jump in the cab and go. Do your pre-trip. It only takes a few minutes.

    Thank you!
