Car Hauler “Killed Instantly” in Crash With “Airborne” Semi

Wayne County, MI – Police said a car hauler was “killed instantly” on Saturday along I-75 when a semi-truck landed on top of his vehicle.

According to Michigan State Police (MSP), the fatal crash occurred at about 3 p.m. along southbound I-75 on the entrance ramp to westbound I-96.

Investigators said a northbound tractor-trailer crossed the median into the southbound lanes.

MSP said the big rig rode up and over a median wall before going “airborne” and “landing on top of the car hauler.”

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or the other driver involved, who was uninjured, MSP said.

Investigators have not yet given any indication as to what caused the big rig driver to lose control in the moments leading up to the deadly crash.

Transportation Nation Network will continue to monitor the investigation.
